Orlando-based producer Sdot Fire is a well-known beat maker who has figured out a way to maneuver through the industry by selling beats online. The up and coming producer was raised in NJ and has a Filipino background that inspires his ability to create sounds unique to his own versatile taste in music that is not limited to just one genre. Since starting his career, he has used his online presence from selling beats online to accumulate a surplus of placements with artists across the country.
The Sound Konnect got to chop it up with him to find out more about how he started and what inspires him to make beats that are putting in numbers online.
What is it about being a producer that you enjoy?
Sdot: The fact that i’m able to do what I love for a living gives me joy
What are some things people don’t know about being a producer?
Sdot: In order to survive in the music industry you must learn how to be more than a music producer
Anything new you’d like to try when making music?
Sdot: yeah i’ve been fucking wit house and pop..even Jersey club which is my roots
What city was your favorite to make music?
Sdot: Thats Tuff. I would have to say either my hometown NJ or Atlanta.. ATL holds alot of culture
What inspires you to make beats?
Sdot: Life, movies, interviews..anything that gets my mind going
What’s The perfect environment for you to make music?
Sdot: justme being alone sometimes…in my most calming but attentive state.. That’s when i make the best shit
What is your biggest goal? What would make you feel like you “made it” as a producer?
Sdot: is to make a million off of music and umm the term “made it” is subjective but I would say just being happy with your work
What is the difference between making music on your own vs. collabing with another producer?
Sdot: making music with one mind vs making music with two minds… never underestimate the value of team

How did you gain recognition in your city for what you do?
Sdot: I had hard ass beats, facts
Do you remember your first beat? Describe that whole experience, what software you used what equipment, setting?
Sdot: not really but shoutout my grandparents for my first laptop…shit changed my life
