Today we learned that Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott are mourning the loss of their 5 month old son, Zen. It is a parent’s worst nightmare to learn of a fatal disease and/or complication when it comes to their child. We always expect to leave this earth before our children. The devastating news of Zen’s passing, shocked the world. Nick Cannon could be seen holding back tears as he shared the heartbreaking news with his supporters.
He described witnessing irregularities in his son’s breathing and enlarged head. He and Alyssa sought medical advice following their concerns. After being diagnosed with a malignant tumor and hydrocephalus, Zen underwent surgery to alleviate the fluid accumulation and have a shunt placement.
Unfortunately, by Thanksgiving, Zen’s condition worsened. While sharing the news with the world, Nick stated, “This weekend I made an effort to spend the most quality time with Zen.” While holding his son, they watched the sun rise before he traveled back to New York for the recording of his show.
