Meet Alex Ratikan, the 21 year old Rising Long Island born DJ and Entertainment Entrepreneur who has quickly gained a name for himself as one of the youngest open format DJ’s to spin at NYC’s most elite Nightclubs and VIP events. With a passion for Hip Hop music, Alex Ratikan is known for his ability to read a room and captivate a crowd with his magnetic energy on the mic. He is currently one of the youngest DJ’s affiliated with the elite Dream Hospitality Group, where he got his start promoting for venues like HARBOR, BLUE MIDTOWN, BOUNCE, PROFUNDO, 42 DIOR , THE DL ROOFTOP and at Miami hot-spots like KOMODO, EL SANTO and SWAN.Born and raised in Wantagh Long Island, Alex has been known to take his talents across the coast, playing for the VIP crowds at Exclusive Venues like CLUB SKYE in Tampa Florida, GRYPHON NIGHTCLUB, DECADES in Washington DC as well as BREATHLESS RESORT in Punta Cana.
Alex Ratikan has been recognized for his ability to sell out exclusive parties and draw out the crowd to venues with his large college aged following.Alex Ratikan currently spins regularly at Dream Hospitality NYC Hotspots: The DL ROOFTOP, BLUE MIDTOWN and HARBOR, where he credits NYC DJ Ammo as his mentor. During his career, Alex Ratikan has played music for a crowd of A List guests like Meek Mill, French Montana, Floyd Mayweather, Jim Jones, Rick Ross, Joe Boy, A Boogie, Kehlani, Hasley, Rich the Kid, Machine Gun Kelly, Future, Bella Thorne, Rae Sremmurd and more.
Alex Ratikan is also the owner and creator of ALECTRO SOUNDS EVENT GROUP, an Event Production and DJ service company that provides lighting, sound and other rentals for events and private parties like Graduations, Communions, Sweet 16s and more –a company he launched at just 16 years old.
Self -taught, Alex Ratikan’s passion for DJing started at just 8 years old when he started using DJ software to practice with. By the age of 10 years old, his parents bought him beginner DJ equipment where he would spend the next 2 years learning his way around a turn table and falling in love with the craft. At 13 years old, he was getting booked for local parties with friends and family at venues in his hometown of Long Island. By the age of 14, Alex Ratikan knew he would make a future career in music as a professional DJ and during his junior and senior years of high school, Alex took Audio Production where he would Excel in the Nassau BOCES (Board of Cooperative Educational Services) Program. At 17 years old, Alex interned for a Hot 97 On- Air Personality, where he was the audio engineer, responsible for editing the show audio and visuals as well as scheduling and greeting celebrity guests like DA BABY, MIKE SMITH, FAT BOY, YUNG BANDS, LIL KEED, PND ROCK among many others.
In 2018, Alex Ratikan got his Big Break- in his senior year of HS when he was booked for The BILLBOARD HOT 100 MUSIC FESTIVAL at Jones Beach Theater where he both DJ’ed and provided lighting production rentals through his company at the festival venue and the events CELEBRITY YACHT PARTY for an A List line -up that included: Machine Gunn Kelly, Bella Thorne, Shoreline Mafia, French Montana, Justine Skye, Rich the Kid, Future, Rae Sremmurd, Bhad Bhabie and so many more. He has also donated his time the last 2 years as the DJ for NYPD’s Hispanic Society’s Breast Cancer event.
In addition to being a Dream Hospitality DJ at Hotspots The DL ROOFTOP, BLUE MIDTOWN and HARBOR, and the Owner of ALECTRO SOUNDS EVENT GROUP, DJ Alex Ratikan is also the creator of “The Turn Up Mix” a Commercial Free Mixshow where he breaks new artist records and gives rising DJ’s a platform to stream their mixes.
